HYALURONIC ACID FILLER

What is Hyaluronic acid

Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring substance found in the body, particularly in connective tissue, the skin, the eyes, and the joints. It has the ability to bind large amounts of water, which provides volume, hydration, and elasticity.

For medical-aesthetic injections, hyaluronic acid is produced synthetically but processed in a way that closely resembles the body’s own natural hyaluronic acid. It is primarily used in the following areas:

  • Wrinkle treatment: Filling fine lines and deeper wrinkles

  • Volume enhancement: e.g., cheeks, lips, or chin

  • Skin quality improvement: Enhancing skin hydration and texture

  • Medical applications: e.g., relieving joint discomfort

Explanation of injectable treatments
Lip fillers
Lip fillers are dermal injections strategically placed to give the lips a fuller, plumper appearance quickly. Hyaluronic acid–based fillers are a common choice for correcting asymmetry, enhancing lip contours, and increasing lip volume for a more youthful and attractive look.
Since hyaluronic acid is naturally broken down by the body, results typically last 6–12 months.

Cheek fillers
During a cheek hyaluronic acid injection, volumizing hyaluronic acid is placed in the midface area to enhance cheek contour, volume, and overall facial harmony. The treatment can counteract hollow areas, lift the cheeks, and improve skin freshness and texture.
Results usually last 12–24 months, depending on the product used and individual factors.

Chin fillers
A chin filler treatment uses stabilized hyaluronic acid to shape and contour the chin. This helps create a more balanced facial profile, improves the side view, and adds definition to the lower face.
The results are temporary and typically last 9–18 months, depending on metabolism and the product used.
